Sometimes a girl’s gotta go with the waves, especially when her original travel plans go wayside. En route to London after my Spanish escapade (details on that trip here) my plans carved to the right, away from the airport, due to forces beyond my control. Instead of freaking out, I embraced an impromptu adventure in Biarritz, France.
Arriving there in the evening and staying into the next day, here are some picturesque highlights of my 24-hour stint in this European surf city. Mashing up the elegance of Paris with the coolness of L.A., Biarritz offers many views to take in, all in the blink of an eye.

WHAT I WORE
Night 1 // dress: Whistles / long cardigan sweater: AllSaints/ scarf: Gap / shoes: Ash / bag: Kate Spade
Day 1 // sweater: Hublot (stolen from my husband’s suitcase) / t-shirt: J.Crew / jeans: One Teaspoon / neck scarf: J.Crew
WHERE I ATE & DRANK
Dinner // Chez Albert came recommended by my hotel, as it’s a favorite among locals and tourists. Buzzing with diners, the harbor-side restaurant serves up fresh fish dishes with lots of French flair. My Sole Meuniere was to hang 10 for!
Drinks // Eden Rock Cafe was a total gem that I stubbled upon! (See what I did there, lol!) A live DJ, drinks, and water views on the rocks made for a perfect night’s end.
Lunch // Dodin (not pictured) is a cafe right on the main beach. With full-on ocean views, it was a perfect place for a quick sandwich, sweet treat, and pint before heading home.
