Halloween is a day famous for many things: scary movies, costumes, candy, and spooky Simpson episodes. And while I love all those things, Halloween is extra special to me because on this day, six years ago, I wore the grandest costume of my life, a big white satin ballgown, for my wedding. With its strapless sweetheart neckline, rhinestone appliqués, and layers of satin and crinoline, my bridal look was timeless.
This year my wedding anniversary has finally circled back to a Saturday (the best day of the week for celebrating). However, it was also the same day as the Rugby World Cup finals – an important event for my sports fanatic husband. So I spent this memorable, romantic day at the Sports Bar & Grill in London. The horror!!!

I actually really like rugby. And I don’t mind that my romantic celebrations were usurped by championship sports because I always enjoy a pint at a pub, especially if it has chandeliers. However, I refused to let this day go past without a nod to my haunting anniversary. So in the spirit of love and Halloween, I wore this Zoe Karssen tee-shirt because this Amsterdam label, known for its signature bat graphic and quirky slogans, endorses a happily ever after ending, even if ironically.
