I’m in Mykonos bitch. And Mykonos fucks Ibiza. Just a few slogans found on hats from the local island shop, where neon and profanities run wild. Not surprising to see such fashion when you are on a Greek island that prides itself on its party culture.
This desert island with its white stone buildings and gleaming turquoise water is famous for its beaches with bumping beats. From the party-hardy Paradise beach (where dance parties start before supper time) to the super chic Psarou beach (where celebrities frequent its trendy bars).
On this escapade, I ventured to one of Mykonos’ more remote northern beaches, Panormos, known for its winder weather and frequent nude sunbathers. There I visited the newly redone and beautiful Principaute Beach Club, offering plush lounge areas and an ultra cool bohemian restaurant with seaside views. Along with a little techno that floated along the sands.

Dressing for beach clubbing is always a challenge, as one needs to wear swimwear along with something restaurant apropos. You don’t want to be that girl asked to cover-up more at the table or the super prudish one on the lounger. So on this trip, I layered it up – so that I could strip it off.
I wore a turquoise bikini under a lightweight statement print jumpsuit. Its open back design let my bathing suit peek through, while keeping most of me covered at mealtime. And its sweat-wicking properties and loose harem-pant design, kept me comfortable in the heat. Over that I wore a neon stripped linen tunic top for some extra shoulder coverage. And paired it with all the standard beach accessories: hat, sunglasses, and flip-flops. Plus my grandma’s extra large amethyst cocktail ring. Because after all… I was in Mykonos bitch!

Tips From The Lamb
- The Principaute Beach Club serves one of the best Greek salads I’ve ever had, as well as lots of seafood options. Finish with a shot of Mastika (a Greek digestif) for the perfect seaside meal.
- When on Panormos Beach, keep left to avoid nude bathers. Go right to join them.
