In the summer of 1999 I ventured to Europe for the first time ever and my first stop was Rome. It was an extremely hot day. I was heavily jet-lagged. And I almost fell asleep in my spaghetti dinner. Nearly two decades later, I barely remembered any of what I saw that trip. So a return to Rome was definitely due.
This spring, I went back for a 24-hour tour – a Roman holiday, alla Audrey Hepburn style. (NB: Roman Holiday is one of my favorite movies.) Like Princess Ann, I wanted a day filled with fun, laughter, and a little excitement. So with my very own “Joe Bradley” in tow, I set out for a day’s adventure in the Eternal City. Senza the Vespa, the hair cut, and the stint in jail, I was soooo happy to revisit Rome.
Here is my day’s activities in pictures.

Now, one of my favorite cities is… Rome. By all means, Rome!
