City Break

Hello Oslo (Hello Baby Bump)

oslo harbour baby bump

There she shows! Looking around Oslo last spring, you could see lots of blue water, boats, fjords, and oh yeah — my baby bump. Last April, I visited the coastal city in search of a chill weekend away from home. Being four months pregnant at the time, I knew my traveling days were changing (along with my figure) so I ventured to Norway to soak up the Scandi life. [Krakow] A Parka In Poland

Fall always drives me to do two things – buy a new coat and carb-load.  The newly felt chill in the air makes me want to get cozy – both in and outdoors.  So this October, I took my autumnal habits abroad to Poland, where the air is crisp and the pierogis are plentiful.  Being American and of part Polish decent, I’ve been itching to visit this country for years.  Rich in history, culture, and cafes, Krakow called to me, along with a new parka. Even the food and drinks are shades of marigold. Sangria pitchers are filled with ripe lemons and mint leaves. Rock lobsters are served fresh with generously buttered bread. And the traditional Portuguese desserts, pasteis de nata, are highly scouted for their warm custard filling and buttery crust.   [Read more…] about [LISBON] IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN…

About

I'm an American writer/mother/boss living in London, sharing stories and articles about the things I love most – fashion, travel, and wellness; all told with a little tongue-in-cheek humour, because I also love satire, sarcasm, idiosyncrasies and double entendres.

All opinions are my own. All photos are taken by me (or my begrudging art directed husband, a specially recruited friend, or maybe my mom).
