La La Land or Bust

hollywood

Los Angeles represents many things to many people – beautiful beaches, posh zip codes, and most recently (post Oscar season)… it’s the city for big dreams.  But it was its finely tuned wellness scene that drew me to it.  Curious about all things well and good, I explored LA like a part-time tourist, part-time local… moving across neighborhoods, from studio to store, in a car, often in traffic. [NEW YORK] Perfume bonding

It’s full-on fall, which I treat a lot like new years.  This time of year I always step back and evaluate my life… my job, my fitness regime, my wardrobe, and most recently, my perfume collection. [Read more…] about [NEW YORK] Perfume bonding

[MOROCCO] NIRVANA AT THE KASBAH TAMADOT

Tucked away in the mountains, just outside Marrakesh, rests one of the the most perfect hotels in the world.  With warm orange walls, a rose petal pool, and greenery galore, the Kasbah Tamadot is a vision of heaven.  Centered around a turquoise pool overlooking the Atlas mountains, it is the perfect place to recharge after a few days in the busy medina.   [Read more…] about [MOROCCO] NIRVANA AT THE KASBAH TAMADOT

[MOROCCO] A DAY DRESS IN MARRAKESH

gap dress in Marrakesh ysl gardens

Casablanca may have been in black and white, but Morocco is a country full of colour.  And my recent trip to Marrakesh proved to be a vibrant one.  From the gardens to the souks, from the local restaurants to my own riad, the city possessed a spectrum for all the senses.   [Read more…] about [MOROCCO] A DAY DRESS IN MARRAKESH

[LONDON] FANCY FLOWERS AT ASCOT

royal ascot fashion

With spring in full bloom, flowers are everywhere throughout London. Irises, roses and bluebells blossom while wisteria climbs the neighborhoods’ walls. The air is fragrant and everyone is feeling a little more spirited from the local perfume.  And with that fresh energy comes a new line-up of spring spectator sports. Be it polo or horse racing, the tracks and fields beckon locals and tourists alike to visit their open spaces, cheer on the riders, and undoubtably come dressed to impressed.   [Read more…] about [LONDON] FANCY FLOWERS AT ASCOT

[LONDON] Being More Marilyn: 8 Little White Dresses

banana republic little white dress

Everyone knows the LBD.  The always chic and sophisticated little black dress that takes a woman from work to dinner to night club – always looking amazingly apropos.  Made iconic by the likes of Coco Chanel and Audrey Hepburn, it remains a beacon.  However, when the dark days of winter are done, a woman needs a bright light in her wardrobe.  A symbol of spring awakening that moves just as easily across her day, as well as in to her upcoming summer holidays.   [Read more…] about [LONDON] Being More Marilyn: 8 Little White Dresses

About

I'm an American writer/mother/boss living in London, sharing stories and articles about the things I love most – fashion, travel, and wellness; all told with a little tongue-in-cheek humour, because I also love satire, sarcasm, idiosyncrasies and double entendres.

All opinions are my own. All photos are taken by me (or my begrudging art directed husband, a specially recruited friend, or maybe my mom).
